Geneva - The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced international scheduled traffic results for November showing 8.2% year-on-year passenger traffic growth and a 5.4% increase for freight. The passenger load factor for November averaged 75.6% while the freight load factor stood at 55.2% for the month.

Asiana Airlines of South Korea has become a new customer for the A380 following the signature of a firm order for six aircraft. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2014 and the airline plans to operate the aircraft with a premium layout on key routes to Europe and the US. The carrier will make an engine selection for its A380 fleet in the near future.

European based easyJet has signed a contract to buy a further 15 A320 aircraft and to convert an existing order for 20 Airbus A319s into the larger A320 model. The agreement is part of an order book which now totals 242 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, making easyJet one of the world’s largest customers for this type.
