(eTN) Kenya Airways has confirmed that they have entered into an additional dry lease arrangement with an American leasing firm to provide two Embraer 190 jets, due to arrive later in the year in Nairobi.

At the start of the winter flight schedules, Lufthansa is to begin serving a new destination in Africa. From 3 November, the airline is laying on five flights weekly to Pointe Noire, the principal port in the Republic of the Congo, pending regulatory approval. The route will be flown by a Boeing 737-800 from PrivatAir.

South African Airways has ordered five additional Airbus A320 aircraft, increasing an earlier commitment for the type from 15 to 20. The aircraft, to be delivered from 2013, will be powered by IAE engines.
